Text: You put on a pair of shoes for me,
grounded yourself to be my wife.
We thought we had the power to change the world,
so we attacked those keeping our peoples separated.
We became criminals.
Did they take you from me, or did you leave?
I travelled to the tree bridging our realms,
hoping to find you, my love.
But as I looked at all the empty pairs of shoes –
the sole remains of those who returned to the sky,
I found your shoes hanging from a branch…
and I knew I would forever be alone on the ground.
